Lilian Van Daal is a groundbreaking product designer who beautifully blends the realms of nature and design in her work. Through the use of innovative technologies and materials, Van Daal seeks to recreate nature's intricate and efficient systems. She aims to unlock nature's vast repository of solutions and apply them to sustainable production methods. Moreover, Van Daal believes in the importance of reconnecting with nature in our daily environments, promoting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. To achieve this vision, she undertakes collaborations with scientists, biologists, universities, architects, and commercial companies.
On the other hand, Theo Demans is an accomplished sculptor and scenographer. His work revolves around transforming intangible practices into tangible, immersive experiences. Demans creates contemporary sacred environments that invite active audience participation, fostering moments of togetherness and collective hypnosis. He has been involved in various co-creations with artists, such as the artist duo touche-touche, as well as curatorial endeavors. Notably, Demans, alongside Melanie Bonajo, represented the Dutch pavilion at the 59th Venice Biennale of Art.
We are thrilled to host these two talented artists at Silversquare Louvain-la-Neuve. Their unique perspectives and creative endeavors will undoubtedly enrich our coworking space, inspiring innovation and fostering a sense of connection with both nature and the arts.
